Good morning y’all!
Southside Market and Barbeque sent us some Sausage Slammers.
They were deliciously … different. I mean this in a good way.
I don’t think we’ve tasted anything like this before.
They almost, I stress almost, remind us of summer sausage.
They have cheese and jalapeno in the middle of the bacon wrapped sausage.
As you take a bite the juices emerge and the flavor is right behind it.
There is a slow creep of spice that comes through at the end. Nothing that leaves your mouth on fire but just one of those that come at the end of the bite letting you know it was there.
Kind of like that friend that leaves you knowing they were there when you didn’t see them, lol.
These are definitely unlike any sausage we have tasted that was stuff or even unstuffed.
Now the better question is… would we purchase them? YES!!
Along with a pack of Hawaiian Sweet Rolls (perfect for these little suckers to slide into) 😉
